Information we collect

When you submit an equipment request or contact us, we may collect:

• Your name, organization, email address, and optional phone number.
• Equipment, application, specification, condition, budget, location, timing, inspection, and documentation requirements.
• Messages, attachments, and other information you choose to provide.

Our hosting and security providers may also process standard technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP address, browser or device information, timestamps, and requested pages.

Google Forms

The equipment-request form sends the information you submit to Google Forms, where it is stored in a Google account controlled by Cosagon. Google processes that information under its Privacy Policy. Do not submit sensitive personal information that is not needed for the equipment search.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people find and use the site. Google Analytics may process page views, interactions, referral information, session statistics, approximate location, browser and device information, and a pseudonymous client identifier. Google Analytics uses first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_<container-id> to distinguish users and maintain session state.

Cosagon configures its site tag to disable Google Signals and advertising-personalization signals. We use this information for aggregate site measurement and improvement, not for cross-site behavioral advertising. Google processes Analytics data under its Privacy Policy and explains its role in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

How we use information

We use collected information to:

• Review and respond to equipment-search requests.
• Define search scope and communicate with prospective or current buyers.
• Perform an agreed search and prepare candidate documentation.
• Maintain business records, prevent misuse, secure the site, and comply with legal obligations.
• Understand and improve our services and website.

How we share information

We may share information only as reasonably necessary with:

• Service providers that support forms, hosting, email, storage, security, and business operations.
• Professional advisers when needed for legal, accounting, insurance, or compliance matters.
• Government authorities or other parties when required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, and security.
• A successor in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of business assets.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including providing services, maintaining business and transaction records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and meeting legal obligations. Retention periods depend on the nature of the information and the relationship.

Your choices

You may ask to access, correct, or delete information you submitted by emailing sourcing@cosagon.com. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information when permitted or required by law.

You can limit Analytics cookies through your browser settings or use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on to prevent the Google Analytics tag from sharing information about your visits with Google Analytics.

Cookies and tracking

Google Analytics uses first-party measurement cookies. Google states that its standard _ga cookies may remain for up to two years, subject to browser limits and your settings. Our hosting and security providers may also use essential technologies needed to deliver and protect the site.

Cosagon does not use advertising cookies or cross-site behavioral tracking. Because browser “Do Not Track” is not a consistent consent signal, it does not change site behavior; use the browser and Analytics controls described above instead.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

The site and services are intended for business users and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices or legal obligations change. The date above identifies the current version, and material changes will be posted on this page.
